As populations increase and markets globalize, demand for agricultural products as well as concern for the protection of natural resources will provide ample career opportunities. These careers focus on producing, managing, processing, and marketing commodities such as food, fiber, wood products, horticulture, natural resources, and other plant and animal products, as well as technical and educational services.

There are seven career pathways in the Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources cluster:
  • Food Products & Processing Systems

  • Plant Systems

  • Animal Systems
  Examples of jobs in this pathway: Animal Caretaker; Animal Breeder; Animal Scientist; Veterinarian; Veterinarian Assistant; Zoologist
